Love Month gifts for ClearPath for Veterans
Each February the Christian Education program chooses one service or mission project on which to focus our attention and efforts, and this year we joined Robert Beyel’s senior high school project in support of Clear Path for Veterans’ Dogs2Vets Program, which helps local veterans with PTSD train their own service dogs. As you may recall, Rob sold candy bars to raise money for this organization and, including the support from Presbyterian Women and the Mission Committee, he already delivered a check for $700 to ClearPath in January.
Once again our congregation’s response in the Love Month campaign has been generous. Thanks to your donations, members of the Youth Group were able to go on a shopping trip recently where they purchased over $1,000 of supplies for the Dogs2Vets program. These items were delivered to ClearPath for Veterans, along with an additional check for $408.80, where they will be used to support veterans with their service dogs. God calls us to see and respond to suffering by helping others: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galations 6:2 Thanks for supporting our Love Month campaign- it will truly make a difference.
