At Marcellus First Presbyterian Church, we believe that we are meant to live out our faith in the world. We are very active in mission projects that give each one of us the chance to make a difference. Our members work together in a variety of one-time and recurring mission giving opportunities.
The following places/organizations receive a portion of our Mission Pledge:
Blessings in a Backpack • Brady Faith Center • Clear Path for Veterans • FairNY LGBTQ • In My Father's Kitchen • Interfaith Works • Isaiah's Table • Light a Candle for Literacy • Matthew 25 Farm • More Light Presbyterians • Presbyterian Peace Fellowship • Road to Emmaus • Samaritan Center • Theological Education Fund • Tiny Home for Good
2026 COMMUNION OFFERING
The 2026 Communion Offering will go towards a Tiny Home for Good. Its mission is to provide safe, affordable and dignified housing for local men and women coming out of the shelter system. Staff members and local agencies work to meet their needs, ensuring their long-term success and well-being in their homes.
Some of our recurring outreach missions beyond our local congregation are:
Sleep in Heavenly Peace
We are proud to be a drop-off site for donations toward Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Bed-in-a-bag is a much needed item comprised of brand new twin sheets, pillow case, and comforter. Donations of gently used quilts are also welcome.

Sts. Peter and John Episcopal Church
On the second Sunday of each month, we make sandwiches and deliver them to Sts. Peter and John Episcopal Church in Auburn, NY for their soup kitchen community outreach program. Then on the third Saturday of every month we have volunteers go to their Soup Kitchen to prepare and serve hot food to anyone who comes.

Marcellus Ecumenical Food Pantry
The Marcellus Ecumenical Food Pantry, which is housed in our building, serves residents in the Marcellus school district. We support the food pantry with regular food donations and Thanksgiving turkeys.

Christmas Angels
For many years, we have partnered with the Seals Center at Kirk Park on the south side of Syracuse to give the gift of pajamas at Christmas to kids in the after-school program.
